Dear Customers,
Thank you for your interest in Hydote. Let me share with you a little background, how this venture started and our vision for the future.
As a healthcare professional for over 13 years, I have always been fascinated by the human body and how it functions. A career specialising in molecular imaging provided a deep understanding of metabolic processes, human physiology, and health improvement. After completing a Masters in Public Health and investigating public datasets I realised that many people are deficient in key vitamins, minerals and chronically dehydrated, which can impact performance, productivity, and general wellbeing. It was with this medical background and strong interest in hydration and wellness supplements that led me to experiment to find optimal methods of hydration.
What I discovered through this journey is a specific blend of electrolytes, vitamins and minerals at the right times are key for effective hydration and to feel your best. Through much trial and error, reviewing the evidence-base and gaining insights from fellow medical professionals - Hydote was born. The name ‘Hydote’ is a combination of hydration and antidote - a simple play on words that define our key products.
Proudly founded in Dubai, we understand the climate, environment, and busy lifestyles people lead here. High temperatures, humidity, and many hours of sunshine are all contributors to dehydration. These environmental aspects combined with lifestyle factors such as a bustling social scene, packed events calendar and demanding work commitments leave us vulnerable to nutritional deficiencies and dehydration. What we’ve aimed to do is take the guess work out and provide an easy to use product that fills these needs and gaps in our diets to live our best lives.
Another important component in our diets is Vitamin D which is essential for bone health, immunity and reducing cancer risk, to name a few. Studies have found that over 90% of the UAE population is lacking enough Vitamin D to meet daily requirements. Around 30 minutes sun exposure per day for the average person and 15 minutes for those with light sensitive skin should meet these needs, however, sunscreen, conservative clothing, indoor workplaces and public infrastructure designed to keep you out of the sun limits our ability to achieve this. To remedy this we have included 100% of your recommended Vitamin D intake in our recover blend.
Thanks again for your interest in Hydote. We hope you enjoy our products and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Stay hydrated : )
